I've been wanting to donate blood for over a year now, but have been turned away many times for having a low iron content in my blood. This happened again today, but since I was stranded/pedestrian in the mall-neighborhood, I stopped by Michael's for a few needed room-redecorating items.

While perusing and searching for frames and clock bits, I found one of these new-fangled wall decals. After reading through their collection (and deeming many as LAME, especially the over-used Hallmark quotes), I decided I really liked the one that says "Dream" (even though I could totally make it myself with a brush, paint and 10 minutes). I'm really looking forward to putting it up on my all-red-but-empty wall in my room, thus moving another step forward in creating a stimulating environment that will hopefully get me animated about job hunting.

...Speaking of job hunting, I'll be unemployed as of August 15, and totally open for a job... just so ya know... so you could, maybe, find me a job... only if you've heard of something or whatever...

Like a fine wine, Amy Winehouse got better with age--er, time in the industry. She got crazier, and higher, and I (along with the entire despicable celebrity-obsessed world we live in) enjoyed watching the shit show unravel.

So is it totally wrong to say that while I'm really stoked on a human-to-human level that Amy looks healthy and whatever... I kinda miss her old look? It was an iconic, easily-Halloween-transferable style that carried her from work (?) to play to crack.

First of all, I've had enough of all this MJ coverage.

That being said, why is it that great accomplishments are never recognized thoroughly during a person's lifetime? Einstein wasn't so cool when he was alive, and now everyone knows him (well, everyone that doesn't live in the Midwest or North Korea). Or what about Jesus... there's a great example of someone better loved in the media after death. I mean... I'm just sayin... maybe we can care a little before someone kicks the bucket.

So, it's been about two months since I've graduated and left Syracuse, and I've managed a measley three posts since then. Sure, I was out of the country for a while, and sure, I'm working up a storm at a summer camp Monday through Friday and have no energy to do anything that involves not sleeping at 9:30 p.m..... BUT if I ever want to get a real job doing something online/writing/non-child-related after camp is over, I should keep posting regularly to flex my typing muscles.

Thus, therefore, furthermore... I'm just going to rant and verbally spew on here, since I'm starving for adult interactions (and have very few...) and need a place to let it all out (in a my-mom/future-employer-is-reading way).

I know you've been dying to know what's going on with me. Well, in a nutshell (because my laptop battery's about to drop and I've gotta hustle...), I've just completed a week and a half of spectacular staff training at the JCC for my new Aleph Unit Head position at their Camp Kehillah (which means "community" in Hebrew, BT-dubs), which included CPR/First Training certification and an overnight camping trip to SPTaylor park, among other excellent adventures.

My room is still under construction, but I'm much closer than I thought I would be a week ago. The walls are painted, as is the ceiling, and I'm just missing the trim and the closet. I just saw 'The Hangover" with Natalie and Meghan, and let me tell you, it was spectacular. I haven't had the energy to go out and part-ay with my friend Nick that's in town for a short while, and I feel like an old fart party pooper...but I'm just so tired and BROKE. My wallet's gross.
